Cauvery basin has potential to generate 1,100 MW

The Cauvery basin in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka has the potential to generate 1,100 MW of hydel power, Minister of State for Power Jairam Ramesh said here Saturday.
Ramesh was here to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi to discuss the power projects in the state.
The projects that Ramesh refers to are Hogenakkal, Shivanasumudram, Mekedatu [...]
